Site Spotlight: Still Mighty

Hockey fans who read my blog have got to be a little perturbed at my constant neglect. For that I am truly sorry, and I assure you: I feel your pain.

The truth is, I don't know much about hockey. I don't understand why they only have three periods, I can't pronounce their names and I can't ever seem to follow the puck.

And what's the deal with the octopuses?

I can, however name a few players: Wayne Gretzky, Mark Messier, Eric Lindros, Mario Lemieux... um... Gordon Bombay...

Anyway, ASB fans who love hockey can now rejoice: One blogger has answered the call to write about the brutal ice dance. Check out my pal Bryce's hockey-themed blog:

Also, be sure to check back here later today when I'll write up today's season-defining play for the 2001 BYU football season.

Thanks for the plug Adam. And I am actually impressed that you knew that many players. I will be even more impressed if you didn't have to look up how to spell their names.

For the record, I didn't look up a thing. That was all me, baby. All me.

They've outlawed the octapus throw at Red Wings games. That was the ONLY good thing about hockey. Except I did go to a BYU Icecats game once. It was good until I realized the end of the second period wasn't the end of the game. Then it got boring.

Hockey boring? You have got to be kidding me. Don't tell me you prefer baseball. Hockey is awesome!!!!! Two periods. Fast. You sit inside an arena filled with ice, thus making it a COOL place to be... Only in a tie does the game extend longer.

For the record: hockey has three periods. That's what I get for staying up too late cleaning kid's rooms... and commenting on another's blog. Better to stick with my own where I have editing control.

Hockey is still way better than baseball or football. I actually really like basketball. But when I married a hockey player who hates basketball, those days ended.
