He had a wide open field in front of him, and all he had to do was run for five yards and then side-step out of bounds.
The kicker would have won the game with a long field goal and the Vikings would have been headed to the Super Bowl.
But no. Instead, he throws a bad pass across his body, which was of course intercepted. The Saints won the coin toss in overtime and marched right down the field to score the game-winning field goal.
Disappointing to say the least. That could have been Brett Favre's last shot at the big one.

Random fact. Including last night the team that wins the coin toss in OT of conference championships are 1-3. Maybe that was going through Brett's head when he threw the pick.
Gotta love that he tries to go out on a better note after the Corey Webster interception in Green Bay, then does the exact same thing. The football gods are smiling somewhere.
